So I finally broke down and took the kids to the Moncton zoo. I'm not going to get on my soap box for long, just a quick mention - I don't like zoos and I do not believe they should exist. Now with that said, the kids had a pretty good time. It should also be said that they would have been equally happy with a play ground and some farm animals; the goats were definitely the hit of the visit, the chickens a close second.
Visiting the lions. This was taken moments after the Papa lion tried to pee on Kate and me. He came very close. Sounds like a happy guy hey?

I forgot the true highlight to their day was being at the right place at the right time to watch one of the goats take a poop.
In other news, the weather has certainly shifted towards fall. It's August 31st, the winds have picked up, the trees are losing some colour and I cannot wait for sweaters, socks, the start of school and some classes. Kate starts school on Wednesday, Elliott starts gymnastics on Thursday, Kate ballet on the following Saturday and Cody running and yoga. As for me, I am not scheduled to start anything. Hmmm, maybe I should reconsider that. Perhaps it's finally time to pick up the ukulele.
