a happy groundhog day to you

Elliott has been telling us all about Groundhog Day and at pick up today he was mad. Mad because he was not on the winning side of the bet. Being a bit of a Groundhog skeptic I can look outside right now and I'm convinced Spring is no where in sight.  What began as a mild Maritime Winter has as of late taken a 180. Last Tuesday there was no school due to a storm, there was a storm this Saturday and another 40 centimeters of snow is expected this evening. No school tomorrow seems imminent.

So for the last week and a half this is what we have been getting up to...

Enjoying a blustery blizzard. Cody driving the four wheeler, me filming on the back and the kids gleefully being towed endlessly through our double cul-de-sac.

No better way to spend a snow day than celebrating Cody's 36th birthday!

One of Kate's latest creative endeavours - Elliott drew the picture of the monster on the right and Kate brought it to life as a felt toy.

Kate in her jewels that she purchased with her allowance.

 Elliott's Classroom Groundhogs.

Cherry Cheeks - Elliott's rainbow-coloured Groundhog.

Happy storm day to all our Maritime friends and family.
xoxo Aimee
