We're back and I wish I could say that the adjustment back to the Atlantic was going well but I cannot. The kids are a mess. Who would think that three hours could be such a nuisance?
We had a great trip - best one ever. The kids are at the age that we can do so much and still make it home for a couple hours in order for Elliott to nap. Other than a few little lady fits and some Elliott separation anxiety I would say the 11 days were pretty close to perfect.
When we're in Moncton I do feel like we're home, but each time I get back to Calgary I'm torn as I do feel it will always be my home home. While away I sometimes get confused over where home is... it's hard to explain. I love Calgary for all my friends and family and all the offerings of a big city. Moncton on the other hands is the kids' home and they were so happy to arrive back to Finnegan, Papa and their stuff. It's simpler here that's for sure.
Anyway here are a few pics from our time away. Please note I always forget to take photos because for the most part we just hung out with friends and family... anyway here they are.
Kate and her beloved Aidan - crafting crowns.
Celebrating my birthday in the mountains (can you see them?) with my Mama and Rhonda.
Mmmm cake and a lot of candles.
Decorating cookies at Allison's with our friend Grady.
As you can see form E the boys did a more eating of icing than decorating.
Sophie and Lauren backstage at the Science Centre.
Elliott exploring the water table at the Science Centre.
Yup he got soaked.
Painting with Aunty, she's nicer/braver than I - so the kids took advantage by painting a dozen masterpieces each.
Elliott in his camo jammies and matching painted face.
A huge thank you to all our great peeps who made so much time for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We love you all so much. Aimee, Kate and Elliott
